The New project
YOUTH & FAMILY RENEWAL CENTER
An Introduction
In the Past 17 years, GRC has been working directly in the field
,blessing the lives of many hundreds of people and has never had an
infrastructure for itself. Now the Lord has put in our hearts the
need for developing a center with adequate facilities to facilate a
very professional approach in our work among families and
youth.This will be a place where Godly homes will be built and shattered
lifes of young people,moulded and rebuilt.This we feel is the need
of the hour at the time,when the evil one is destroying families &
youngsters alike.
Youth- An Introduction:
Statistics confirm that India is made up of about 65% of people less
than 35 years and below. Youth therefore influence the society as
much as they themselves are influenced by it. Soon they will be
shouldering important responsibilities in this nation. Political
leaders target this group of the society to carry out their
programs.
Youth are emotionally unstable & are easily swayed either way by
their leaders into their way of thinking. They are vulnerable to
increasing evils of the present day viles. Many are addicts and
habitual offenders. It appears that this society has nothing to
offer for them and like a rudderless ship they are tossed to & fro.
They need guidance and counsel !!!
Family – An Introduction
The concept of Family is becoming obselete in the society these days. Living
and thinking Independently is becoming today’s lifestyle. As a
result of this, families are breaking up. Living for each other and
be bound by love is something of a fairy tale story to many! When
families break up, a very important element in the fabric of the
society where every individual learns the early lessons of love
& sacrifice, …is lost. The result of this will be catastrophic!
Broken up families in turn produce problematic, disgruntled,
disillusioned youngsters, who in turn corrupt the society! This is
an continuous cycle! This exactly is what the devil is out to do!
We as God’s people have a great responsibility to break this cycle!
This center aims at providing a conductive climate and opportunity
to each family and youth to sit at the Lords feat and re-lay a
strong foundation upon which their lives can be rebuilt and thereby
re-discover a new life in Jesus Christ. Who else can...?
The Aim Of The Project
To enable Youth and Families- the two important constituents of the
society- to function to its fullest potential and as a healthy
component of the society.
To create a positive environment for the under privileged youth for
a positive change and to encourage family’s participation in the
process and make them responsible members of His kingdom
To develop families as the haven for youth with emphasis on
improving relationship among family members , oneness of mind ,
tolerance and love.
To provide an excellent infrastructure for a constant & continual
work of Rebuilding Families and Empowering the youth that can be
used by churches
To Organize leadership seminars for Christian leaders to make
them men with VISION & PASSION
To assist the church to built a strong group of ‘ kingdom people’
who can stand the onslaught of the world and give
to the society a new breed of blessed families and a new generation
of inspired leaders who can live life in abundance and shine out,
bubbling with HOPE.
The Programs That Will Be Organized At The Center
Will Conduct short term & long term programs for youth & families to
promote & provide for their sustained , wholesome development by
addressing their needs- social, emotional, educational & spiritual
in their own environmental context and with their association with
family as the key.
Will Organize special counseling sessions for the problematic youth and
families specially who are on the verge of braking up! To help them
overcome their problems, build their self esteem, realize their
potential and lead; purposeful life that will bring glory and honor
to their creator . special camp will be organized in schools &
colleges to identify problematic youth with the help of teachers.
The parents will be involved in this effort to identify and minute
the causes that disturb and disorient the children behavior.
Will, in due course, produce Audio-Visual resources for evangelism
and make them available for all mission agencies and churches. A
fully equipped resource produce center will be established to
produce programs for Radio & Television as well.
Will Impart training in various vocations to selected untrained, raw
youth to hell them to stand by themselves and earn a dignified
livelihood and be useful contributors to the society.
Will Organize special “Family Improvement Seminars “ periodically to help
families identify their areas improvement (ciz. Relationship &
Responsibilities) and help then lead a ideal and a joyful family at
will glorify the creator God – thereby developing responsible
parents who are good role models with moral values
Will Also be developed into one of the best places in the state for
children of god to spend days in a year for spiritual refreshment
and for sabbatical breaks to be at the feet of Jesus!
All the above programs are irrespective of religion or any
denominational, sectarian affiliations of the participants
The Project Cost
The Project, when established, with all the infrastructure and
facilities mentioned above will be first of its kind in Tamilnadu state
and Will be a dream come true experience for all the missions that
are Involved in the building of God 's kingdom
This has been a long felt need of all the missions and we have been
led of the lord to establish this in this part of the land .
The project is expected to cost about 40lakhs(4.0 millions) approx. in the first
Phase.
